Jamataka Clean Energy Hub

Powering Knowledge, Sustaining the Future.

This collaboration with the community of Jamataka has a long history of engagement originally an off grid project the community have now been provided with the grid, how ever connections remain exceptionally low due to cost of connection. With the support of implementing partners the community established the first community run DESCO  in Botswana and in partnership own and operate a number of Solar assets delivering proactive energy for the community. The project is a demonstration of how community partnerships can implement and increase energy access. This model is currently also being developed  with communities in Malawi and Zambia with our partners.
